Lucky’z Bloody Mary Mix was created by a couple from Cedar Rapids, IA – Heather Armstrong and Jaymz Larson.  Both restaurant/bar owners in the area, they were having trouble finding a bloody mary mix that they – and their customers – liked AND that they could keep in stock.  There were a couple that they found but due to COVID and other issues in the economy, production became an issue.  When making the drinks at work, it got frustrating (and pricey) to get the available mixes up to their standards.   During a trip to Galena, Iowa and several discussions with other entrepreneurs, they decided to create their own recipe and figure out a way to bottle it to share with family, friends and customers.   Combining the names of their two places (Lucky’s on 16th and The Double Z Bar & Grill) they landed on “Lucky’z” for the name.
